原文：—When is the sports meet 运动会是什么时候
—It's on April 5th. 它在四月五号。
一、数词的分类
数词分为两大类：基数词和序数词。基数词表示数量，序数词表示顺序。
二、基数词变序数词的变化规则口诀
l 基变序，有规律，末尾加上th；
l 一、二、三特殊记，词尾字母t、d、d;
l 八省t来九去e,f替代v加e;结尾是y变 ie, 词尾再加 th；
l 若遇多位数词时，只让个位改为序。
注意：
1.多位数的基数词变成序数词时，只需将末位基数词变成序数词，前边的基数词不变。如：
42 forty-two 第42 forty-second
99 ninety-nine 第99 ninety-ninth
2.当序数词用阿拉伯数字表示时，必须在数字后加上该序数词英文的最后两个字母。如：
第21:21st 第32:32nd
3.编了号的事物要用基数词表示顺序，但是基数词要后置。如：
第一课: Lesson One 第三十二页: Page 32
305房间: Room 305 12路公共汽车: Bus No.12
4.序数词前一般要用定冠词 the，如果序数词前用a或 an，则表示“又一；再一”(没有具体范围的限制)。
如: Though he had failed twice, he wanted to try a third time.
尽管他已经失败了两次，但他还想再试一次。

一、日期的书写及读法
1.书写：书写日期的结构有“日+月+年”或“月+日+年”两种，我们常用“月+日+年”。年用数字，年前面用逗号隔开；月用英文单词表示；日用基数词或序数词表示，日和月之间不需要加逗号表示。
2.读法：日读时用序数词，前面可加 the，日在前时月前必须加 of。
例如: 2025年6月1日
写作: 1June,2025或 June 1st,2025
读作: the first of June, two thousand and twenty-five或 June(the) first, twenty twenty-five
二、年份的读法
1.一般情况下，将表示年份的四个数字分为两个一组，每一组按基数词来读。
如：1995 读作 nineteen ninety-five 2024 读作 twenty twenty-four
2.特殊年份读法
(1)整百年读作“前两位+ hundred”。如: 1800读作 eighteen hundred
(2)中间有0时,这个0读作“o”。如: 1905读作 nineteen o five
(3)整千年读作“第一位+ thousand”。如: 2000读作 two thousand
(4)非四位数的年份
按照基数词的方法来读或者是一个数字一个数字读。如：
623BC(公元前623年)读作 six two three BC 或者 six hundred and twenty-three BC
三、介词的使用
表示在某年或某月时，用介词 in；表示在具体的某一天时，用介词 on。如：
I will go to Beijing in 2026.我将要在2026年去北京。
I will go to Beijing in August.我将要在八月份去北京。
I will go to Beijing on August 1st,2026.我将要在2026年八月一日去北京。
