B: Yes. For example, I’ve heard of WWF. It was founded in 1961. There are
thousands of volunteers working for it around the world.
A: So what do they do
B: Many wild animals are in danger of dying out because of habitat loss and
pollution. WWF works to protect endangered animals and their natural
habitats, and it also raises public awareness of environmental protection.
A: That’s great!
B: It is. Thanks to WWF, many species like pandas and tigers have a better
chance of survival.

Think about which charity you would like to volunteer for and tell the reasons and share your answers in class.
I would like to volunteer for Doctors Without Borders. The reason is that I want to use my basic medical knowledge to help people in war-torn and disaster-hit areas who have no access to proper healthcare. I believe everyone deserves equal medical treatment, and this charity’s mission of providing medical help without borders matches my wish to bring hope to those in need.
