What happened to the girl
She finds herself in a strange room with many doors. She discovers a tiny door and wants to go through it. To her surprise, after drinking from a bottle, she shrinks! But now she's too small to reach the key on the table. So, she eats a biscuit, and this time, she grows too large!

Language Points

fantasy classic指“奇幻经典”
get lost 迷失;迷路
E.g. Please follow the signs, or you will get lost in
this big museum.
She was so excited about the new shopping mall that she almost got lost in the crowds.
2. I’ve always preferred the book to the movie.
这句话用到了现在完成时,强调“一直以来都是更喜欢书,而非电影”。have always preferred突出“喜好从过去持续到现在”。对话中相同的用法还有I’ve always loved reading fantasy books.
3. She drinks from a bottle and grows smaller ...
drink from是一个常用搭配,意为“从......(容器)里喝”。
