Simon is a 14 year old boy. He loves playing basketball like other boys. But his long hair makes him different. Simon stopped cutting his hair six years ago. He learned that some sick people lost their hair and had to wear hats. So he decided to grow his hair long for them. He first told his mother about that, and she was glad. However, having long hair is not easy. When he plays basketball, it may cover his eyes. And he also hears bad words from others. Luckily, his classmates all like his long hair. Now his hair is more than half a metre, and he plans to give away his long brown hair to a hospital. Simon feels excited about helping others.

Lots of food goes bad every day. But a study finds that one in eleven people doesn't have enough food, and about 20 per cent of people in Africa go hungry. So we set up a food bank.
How do we work First, we get food from shops, restaurants, and families. Our volunteers make sure the food is safe to eat. Then we keep the food in our food bank. We give out food in several ways. Hungry people can visit our food bank to get food. Sometimes, we send volunteers to villages to hand out food. Also, our volunteers cook and serve food at help centres.
Give a hand if you can. Everyone can make a difference.
