成人礼最早源自中国春秋时代,孔子(Confucius)曾为弟子主持(host)仪式,后传入日本并发展出本土特色(local features)。
历史上日本成年年龄(the age of adulthood)不同,男约15岁、女约 13 岁。奈良时代,男性多着成年服,头戴乌纱帽;女性则梳成人发型,穿成人服装。
2000年始,成人式的时间为每年1月第2个星期一;现代成人(满18岁)礼上,男性多穿套装,未婚女性常选传统振袖。

桑巴起源于(originate)西非和安哥拉,是由奴隶们(slave)带到巴西的。

Have you noticed the phonetic assimilation phenomenon
Work in pairs. One repeats words/phrases from Activity 1 after the recording. The other compares pronunciation, points out problems if any.
语音同化是语流音变中常见的现象。当语流中两个邻近的不同的音,其中一个因受另一个的影响而变得跟它相同或相近,就叫做同化。同化主要是为了读起来顺口。其中没有变化的音叫同化音,起了变化的音叫做被同化音。

The Spring Festival is the recent festival I spent with my parents. It is great to have some time with them every year.
