Reading is a good habit. We read storybooks, science books, or magazines we like in our free time. It can help us learn new things and enjoy fun stories. When we read words, they turn into pictures and ideas in our minds. These pictures and ideas make our brains more colorful and livelier. That’s pretty amazing.
Still, reading can’t always be easy. Sometimes we feel like stopping after reading for a while, and that’s very normal. We might feel tired, or the book might have big or difficult words. Don’t worry! Scientists have found simple ways to make reading easier. These small ways can help us get through the hard parts and love reading more.
One way is to read on paper instead of on a screen. Reading on paper helps us stay focused. And it creates a map of the words in our minds, which helps us remember what we read. If you do have to read on a screen, make the words bigger so they are easier to see.
