Writing a story about an animal

Teen Life Magazine is calling for stories about amazing animals. Your story can either be based on a news report or a real-life experience.
1 Wang Yao made an outline before she wrote her story. Read her outline and story to see how she organized her ideas.

Middle: a dolphin appeared, pushed Sam away from the shark. Sam sat

Yesterday, a news report caught my attention. Something very scary happened to a boy named Sam.
Last month. Sam went for a swim in the sea. He swam far out into the sea. Then he saw something moving near him. It was huge and grey, with a large fin. It was a shark! Sam began to swim back, but the beach was too far away. The shark was getting closer Sam was really scared.
Suddenly a big animal appeared next to Sam in the water It was a dolphin! It pushed him away from the shark. Sam sat on the dolphins back and it took him back to the beach.
Luckily, the shark did not follow Sam. As soon as he was safe on the beach, the dolphin swam away.
Sam said he would always remember this friendly dolphin—it saved his life!

Just when Lily was almost in despair, her pet dog Coco arrived. Coco had been looking for her. Coco barked happily and ran to Lily. Then it led the way.
Lily followed Coco closely. Soon, they found the way out. Lily was so happy. She hugged Coco and patted it a lot.
Thanks to Coco, Lily was safe. She realized Coco was not just a cute pet, but a hero. From then on, their friendship grew stronger.

Animals are everywhere around us. They are an important part of our lives, and we should always remember that animals are our friends.
Animals are really helpful to us in many ways. Firstly, they provide us with food. We get meat from cows, pigs and chickens. Secondly, some animals help us with work. For example, guide dogs lead the blind, allowing them to move around safely. In the past, farmers depended on strong oxen to plow the fields. Moreover, animals can be wonderful companions. When we feel sad, our pet cats or dogs can make us feel better with their company.
In a word, animals play an important role in our lives. We must protect them and treat them kindly. Only in this way can we enjoy a peaceful world together with our animal friends.
