I admire Qian Xuesen most. He was outstanding and made huge contributions to China. He overcame many difficulties to return to our country from abroad. With his knowledge, he led the development of China's space and missile programs. His work made our country stronger. Besides, his love to the country is really inspiring. He devoted his whole life to the country. That's why I look up to him so much.

I admire Zhang Guimei most. She is a remarkable educator. She built a free public high school for poor girls in the mountains, walked to households to persuade parents, and helped around 2,000 girls realize their university dreams, giving them the chance to see the outside world. Her story encourages me to work hard for my dreams and always be ready to help others.

I admire Yuan Longping most. He is a great scientist and the pioneer of hybrid rice in China. He devoted his life to science, and he developed new kinds of rice. These grow faster and produce more rice grains than regular rice.
Yuan Longping's work helped feed millions of people in China and around the world. What's more, he was very hard - working and down-to-earth. I really look up to him because of his outstanding contributions and his never-giving-up spirit.

I admire Fan Jinshi most. She's amazing!
Fan Jinshi spent over 50 years on Dunhuang Grottoes. Life there was tough, but she stayed. She led the Dunhuang Academy. She started the “Digital Dunhuang” project. Now people around the world can see the beautiful art in Dunhuang.
I look up to her because she loves her work and never gives up. She made Dunhuang known to more people.

Writing an article about someone you admire most
The school website is calling for articles about people you admire. Write an article and send it to us.

1. Decide who you want to write about.
Then do some research and make notes about this person. Use the examples below to help you.
Gu Fanzhou—People's Scientist
What he did:
He worked hard on making the "sugar pill(糖丸)". In the past, many kids got sick from polio(小儿麻痹症). He led a team to do many experiments. He dedicated his life to the research and development of "sugar pill".
What he (has) achieved:

Why he is a role model:
He made the "sugar pill" successfully to stop children from getting polio. His work helped the whole world fight against polio, too.
① He is a role model because he worked very hard. He didn't care about himself. He just wanted to help kids stay healthy.
② He was brave when he faced problems. He tried new ways to make the vaccine(疫苗).
③ His love for people and his hard work can inspire us to do good things for others.
Nan Rendong
He was a Chinese astronomer(天文学家) and the chief engineer on the FAST project. He known as the “Father of China's Sky Eye.”
Fast [Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(500米口径球面射电望远镜)] is also called "China's Sky Eye."

His team finished FAST, also called "China's Sky Eye." This helps us understand the universe better.
① Building FAST was very hard. There were lots of technical problems, and they didn't have much money. But he never stopped. He kept working hard and finding answers.
② His love for science and his dedication are worth learning. He gave his whole life to this project. Even when he was very sick, he still cared about FAST.

引出主题，点明自己最钦佩的人是谁。
There are many great people in the world, but the one I admire most is [人物名字].
中间（Body）
详细介绍这个人的基本信息，如职业、身份等。
讲述这个人的主要事迹或成就，突出为什么你钦佩他 / 她。每个事迹可以单独成一段。
在描述事迹时，要提及他 / 她所展现出的优秀品质，如勇敢（brave）、善良（kind - hearted）、勤奋（hard - working）、有责任心（responsible）等。

A Hero Who Beat Polio: Gu Fangzhou
In the history of medicine, many people have worked hard to make us healthier. Gu Fangzhou is a hero to me. He helped fight polio and saved lots of lives. He is called "Grandpa Tangwan".
Gu Fangzhou was a famous Chinese scientist. In the 1950s and 1960s, polio was a big problem. It made many children sick. Gu Fangzhou decided to make a vaccine(疫苗) to stop it. He and his team worked day and night. After many tries, they made China's first oral polio vaccine.
Thanks to his vaccine, fewer and fewer kids got polio in China. This was a great win for everyone.
I admire Gu Fangzhou a lot. First, he never gave up. He faced many problems. But he kept going. Second, he was very brave. He even gave the vaccine to his own son to make sure it was safe.
Gu Fangzhou is a hero. His hard work changed many lives. We should all learn from him and try to help others.
The person I admire most—Nan Rendong
There are many great scientists, and Nan Rendong is my hero. His story can really inspire us.
Nan Rendong was a famous Chinese astronomer. In the 1990s, he wanted to build a big radio telescope to learn more about space. He quickly started this big job. He spent years looking for a good place to build it. He went to many far-away mountains. And he overcame many difficulties and challenges. After over 20 years of hard work, his team built FAST, or "China's Sky Eye." It helps us know more about the universe.
I admire Nan Rendong. First, he had a strong will. Building FAST was tough. There were many problems and little money. But he never stopped. He worked hard to find answers. Second, he loved science and was very dedicated. He gave his whole life to this project. Even when he was ill, he still cared about FAST.
Nan Rendong is a great scientist. We should learn from him and work hard for our dreams.

I'm Li Hua, and I want to share the scientist I admire most— Yuan Longping.
Yuan Longping was a great scientist. He devoted all his life to hybrid rice research. In the past, many people suffered from hunger. But he was eager to change this situation. He worked day and night in the fields. Finally, he developed high - yield hybrid rice. This played a key role in feeding a large number of people not only in China but also around the world. He made a great contribution to global food security.
I really look up to him. His selfless dedication spirit deeply inspires me. Despite facing many difficulties, he never gave up. He just kept working hard to help more people get rid of hunger. Yuan Longping is not only a scientist but also a hero in my heart. I hope more people can learn from his spirit.
