Unit 2 Go for it!
一、单元主题
单元主题：体育运动。
主题范畴:属于“人与自我”及“人与社会”，涉及“丰富、充实、积极向上的生活”与“日常体育活动，重大体育赛事，体育精神”。
二、单元教学目标
本单元学习后，学生能够设计一张海报，介绍某个运动时刻：
运用所学词汇及表达方式谈论运动；
运用不定代词讲述运动爱好者的故事；
阐述运动在自己生活中的作用。
三、分课时教学设计
第一课时Starting out
1.课时教学目标
通过本课时学习，学生能够：
（1）运用核心词汇和句型谈论运动，介绍自己喜欢的运动和喜欢的原因；
（2）理解他人对运动的热爱和坚持，并运用目标词汇表达自身观点。
2.核心词汇
the benefit of, enjoyment, healthy, sports spirit, the origin of等。

运用核心词汇和句型谈论运动，介绍自己喜欢的运动和喜欢的原因。 Warming-up 学生看视频，思考并回答问题： What is the girl What sport does she like How do you like this sport Lead-in 让学生头脑风暴想出生活中的各种运动。 Starting out 学生观察图片并回答问题： What sports can you see in the pictures What sport do you like best Why 观察另一张图片回答问题： What sport are they playing How do you like the sport Do you know the origin of table tennis 以上面的文题引出运动的来源, 问学生origin什么意思，接着问学生两个问题： Do you know the origin of some sports Can you share one with the class 观看视频并回答问题： What sports are mentioned in the video What countries did the sports in the video come from 根据学生的回答情况，观察其能否主动分享对该主题已有的知识，积极参与交流和互动，能否介绍自己喜欢的运动及喜欢的原因。

The marathon comes from an ancient Greek story. In 490 BC, a Greek soldier named Pheidippides ran about 42 kilometers from Marathon to Athens(雅典) to tell the news of victory. Later, to remember this, the marathon race was created. It became an important event in the modern Olympics.
