Soccer is more than just a game, it is a powerful teacher. It is one of the most popular team
sports in the world. On the field, success depends not on a single superstar, but on how well all

eleven players work together. This makes soccer an excellent way to learn about teamwork, an
important skill in both sports and life.
In soccer, every player has a role. Forwards try to score goals. Midfielders control the flow of
the game, moving the ball between defense and attack. Defenders work to stop the other team
from scoring , and the goalkeeper protects the net. If one player does not do their job, the whole
team struggles. A great striker can not score without a midfielder passing them the ball, and a
strong defense can not succeed if players don't communicate and cover for each other.
Communication is key. Players are constantly talking, shouting names, and using hand
signals. They must trust their teammates. A player needs to pass the ball, believing their teammate
will be there to receive it. They also learn to share responsibility. After a loss, the team discusses
what went wrong together. After a win, they celebrate the victory as a group.
So, the next time you watch or play a soccer match, remember it's not just about kicking a
ball. It's a real-life lesson in cooperation, trust, and shared effort.

A. Change B.Protection C. Communication D. Movement

Who is “momo” You may not have seen one in person, but you must
have met many online — the Internet users choosing “momo” as their
name on social media. They usually have a little pink dinosaur’s picture as
the avatar (头像).
The Internet makes it hard for many people to see the differences between the online world
and the real world. Worrying about showing too much personal information accidentally online,
people are afraid to express themselves freely. So they are trying this special way to hide
themselves online.
“Hiding under the name of ‘momo’ makes me no longer worry that people will recognize me
in my real life,” 21-year-old Ding said.
As more and more “momos” have appeared on the Internet, a new online community has also
begun. On Douban, there is a “momo” group with more than 8,000 members. In it, “momos” often
communicate with each other to share their life experiences, which makes them closer to each
3

other.
Interestingly, although “momos” try to hide themselves online, they still hope to show their
personalities. So they dress up their avatars by adding things like hats and hair bands to them. “We
can decide how much we stand out,” said Ding. “This is the best thing about ‘momo’.”
However, with the same name and avatar, some “momos” spread untrue news or even hurt
others with words. With an IP address and a realname registration (注册) system, these “momos”
can still be found. So even if we are hiding ourselves online, we should still be responsible for
what we say and do.
( )23. According to Paragraph 1, “momo” refers to ____________.
A.a real person B. a dinosaur
C. a social media program D. an Internet user called momo
( )24. Many people choose to be “momos” in order to ______________.

A.It makes him closer to other “momos”.
B.It helps him know more people in real life.
C.It gives him a chance to try different clothes.
D.It allows him to decide whether to stand out or not.
( )26. Which can be the best title for the passage

B.“Momo” — a new way to hide online

Zheng Qingyun and his team are trying to help deaf people experience sounds. They've
invented VirtX, a special suit( 套装 )that lets deaf people feel sounds. This suit uses special
technology to make touch feelings from sounds.
The World Health Organization says over 1.5 billion people all over the world have hearing
problems, which may rise to over 2.5 billion by 2030. In China, over 15% of people also have
hearing problems, about 206 million in total.
Zheng, a 24-year-old student, said they decided to develop a product to help people sense
sounds through touch. They used soft things like fabric(织物), with each thread(线)connected to a
switch(开关).
"Clothing is a good way to bring this technology into people's daily lives. What's more
important is that it can improve people's lives," Zheng said. In the beginning, they wanted to help
people with eye and hearing problems through touch. The outside part of the suit also has touch
marks to help the people who can only see a little.
Deaf people often can't tell where sounds come from and this makes it hard for them to know
what's around. For example, when a car passes by, most people can know its place and how far it
is by sound. But deaf people are not able to tell these things.
VirtX tries to offer this information through touch to improve deaf people's daily life.
___________For example, noisy places may mess up the suit's touch. So far, customers' opinions

areas like fun games, training, and medicine.
This year, the VirtX design won the top prize at the James Dyson Award in China.
( )27. What is the main purpose of inventing VirtX

B. To help deaf people feel sounds through touch
C. To make clothes more comfortable and soft
D. To win the James Dyson Award in China
( )28.What does the example in Paragraph5 show
A. Cars are always dangerous for deaf people.
B. Sound is the only way to know how far a car is.
C. Deaf people need help to know the things around them.
D. Most people are good at telling how far a car is by sound.
( )29.Which sentence can be put in "__"in the passage
A. The suit has already helped thousands of deaf people around China.
B. Though it has a good future, there are still challenges with the technology.
C. They spent three years making the first VirtX suit and tested it many times.
D. Deaf people can wear the suit easily and it doesn't cost too much money.
( )30.What can we learn from the passage
A. VirtX has no disadvantages at all.
B. The technology of VirtX will only be used in medicine.
C. The team developed VirtX just for people with hearing problems at first.
D. The design of VirtX got the highest prize at the James Dyson Award in China this year.
