It’s still an important part of the transport system in China. Thousands of boats use it every day to transport food and many other kinds of things.

.前句说 “Some places in this desert haven’t had any rain for hundreds of years”,后句说 “This makes Atacama a good place to look at the stars”,中间需要解释原因。
.前句说 “Some people think that parts of this desert don’t look like Earth at all”,后句说 “They think that the land is a lot like the land on Mars”,中间需要说明谁有这样的观点。
.本段介绍印度东卡西丘陵,前句说 “One of the wettest places on Earth is in the East Khasi Hills in India”,后句说 “People go for a long time without seeing the sun”,中间需要补充具体的气候特征。

根据“the second...”
根据固定搭配help sb/sth (to) do sth“帮助某人/某物做某事”可知,此处应用带to或不带to的动词不定式,develop的动词不定式是to develop。
want to do sth“想要做某事”,此处应用带to的动词不定式。
.nature 57.visit 58.huge 59.clear 60.deep 61.stood 62.climbed 63.heard 64.amazing 65.wonder
因为固定结构“go to do sth.”
因为后文提到“that we could see the stones at the bottom”,能一眼看透水底说明水质非常清澈,所以选择clear。因为固定句型“so…that…”
.It is 1,700 kilometres long. 67.It links Hangzhou with the north of China. 68.It was built as a way to transport food from the rich land in China’s south to cities in the north. 69.By making part of it deeper. 70.The Great Wall is more famous.
.第一段“This manmade waterway, known in China as Da Yunhe, is 1,700 kilometres long…”,给出了大运河的长度信息,这是原文中的具体数字,直接提取作答。
.第一段明确指出“It links the north of China with Hangzhou”,说明它把杭州与中国北方连接起来,直接提取地点信息作答。
.第二段开头“as a way to transport food from the rich land in China’s south to cities in the north”说明大运河修建的用途,直接引用原文作答。
.第四段提到“It is making part of it deeper, so bigger ships can pass”,说明是通过把大运河的一部分挖深,让大船通过。
.第五段直接对比“The Grand Canal is much less famous than the Great Wall”,可推断出长城更有名。

A Natural Wonder I Want to Visit
The natural wonder I want to visit most is Mount Qomolangma. It is the highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,848.86 metres above sea level. It is located on the border between China and Nepal.
I want to visit Mount Qomolangma because I am amazed by its beauty and greatness. Although I may not be able to climb to the top, I would love to see it with my own eyes. I want to feel how small we are compared to nature and learn from the climbers’ spirit of never giving up.
Visiting Mount Qomolangma would be the most unforgettable experience of my life. I hope one day my dream will come true.
