Xi’an, my hometown
Xi’an is a historic city in northwest China. It is the capital city of Shaanxi Province, located in the heart of the Guanzhong Plain.
When you visit Xi’an, start by exploring its ancient wonders. The Terracotta Warriors are a must-see — these life-sized clay soldiers guard the tomb of China’s first emperor. Don’t miss the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a beautiful tower built during the Tang Dynasty.
Xi’an is also famous for its tasty food. Try roujiamo or yangrou paomo — they are flavorful and unique! You can find these delicious snacks in the Muslim Quarter, a lively street full of food stalls and shops.
At night, visit the Great Tang All-Day Mall. The colorful lights, music fountains, and Tang-style buildings make you feel like you’ve traveled back in time.
Xi’an mixes ancient charm with modern life. You’ll carry home not just photos, but memories of a city where history whispers through every street.
