How does Simon make his speech convincing
First, he has a clear topic—to organize an activity to help his community.
Second, the speech script has a clear structure.
Third, he uses “First, … Second, … Last, …” to show the order. It’s easy for listeners to understand.
Fourth, his speech feels like he is directly talking to the listeners. It starts with “Hello, everyone!” and “I’d like to share with you …” and ends with “Let’s work together to …”.

Good morning, everyone!
Today, I want to talk about what I plan to do for our community. I want to organize an activity—“A better place to live”.
First, I will volunteer to help clean up the neighbourhood, making it more pleasant for everyone to live in. Second, I also plan to organize sports matches and visit the old people, making everyone feel like part of a big family. Last, I will take an active part in community meetings to share my ideas and suggestions.
