What are syllables
English words are made up of different parts. These parts are called syllables.
英语单词有不同的部分组成。这些部分被称为音节。
Lead in
Words can be divided into syllables. A word may have one, two or more syllables. A syllable usually contains a vowel sound with or without consonants.
单词可以划分为音节。一个单词可能有一个、两个或更多音节。一个音节通常包含一个带辅音或不带辅音的元音音素。

Presentation
The syllable is the smallest unit of pronunciation, the basic unit of pronunciation, and the pronunciation of any word is broken down into syllables to be read aloud.
A syllable usually contains a with or without consonants.
一个元音音素
一个元音音素与一个或几个辅音
音节的个数由元音音素的个数决定，即：有几个元音音素就有几个音节。
音节的划分规则
1. 用“__”划出元音音素
2. 用“｜“划分辅音音素
辅音音素划分遵循：
一靠后，二分家，多个中间偏左右
1. 一靠后：
当两个元音音素中间只有一个辅音音素时，这个辅音音素通常划入右边的音节。

A syllable usually has a vowel sound. However, the consonant sounds in blue are separate syllables too.
一个音节通常有一个元音音素。但是下列蓝色的辅音音素也是独立的音节。

When we add -(e)s to a singular noun ending in any of these five sounds /s/, /z/, / /, /t / and /d / to make it plural, it will have an extra syllable / z/.
