阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Susan had a secret: she loved robots. She had helped her dad in his workshop and knew a lot about motors, but her friends didn’t know this.
One day, she heard Alex and Jacob talking about their robot, Robbie. They were preparing for a big competition but Robbie wasn’t working properly. Susan was surprised by their courage, as they always seemed unpopular among the boys. She felt bad for them and wanted to help.
On the school bus home, Susan sat behind Alex and Jacob, who were still trying to fix their robot. “This is impossible! The legs move before you press the switch and stop after you press the switch!” Alex said, looking at Robbie’s legs, which were not moving right. “The competition is only eight days away!” Jacob looked sad. He thought they were going to lose.
“Umm, how did you connect the wires from the switch ” Susan asked quietly over their shoulders. Alex turned and gave her a cautious look. Susan smiled and asked, “Did you connect the NO wire or the NC wire to the motor ” The boys stared at her as if she had just landed from Mars.
Susan gently took the robot and pointed out the wire connected to the motor. “Here’s the problem!” She explained that it was the NC wire. It means the circuit (电路) is Normally Closed. She then pulled a loose wire out of the robot and explained that it was the NO wire, which means Normally Open. “If you connect this wire instead, Robbie will walk when you press the switch.” Susan handed the robot back to Alex, who was staring at her with his mouth open.
“Change the wires and see,” she said before getting off the bus. Ten minutes later, her phone rang. It was Jacob: “Your idea worked, and we're wondering if you could come over and help improve our Robbie.” Susan smiled. She knew she had made the right choice.

范文
After dinner, Susan walked cheerfully to Jacob’s house. On arriving, she was greeted by the curious inquiries from Alex and Jacob, who were busy trying out ways to make Robbie stand out. “The way you fix the problem! That’s awesome! How would you know it ” Smilingly, Susan explained how she loved and helped her dad with robots, and offered to join them. Excited, Jacob exclaimed, “Let’s get started!” The new team worked tirelessly, experimenting with wires and adjusting Robbie’s arms and legs. Within a week, they made Robbie walk, run, and perform additional moves, even giving him a voice! On the seventh day, they completed their masterpiece.
Finally. the competition day arrived, and the new team was ready. As they displayed Robbie, they noticed robots of various kinds were presented. Few paid attention to their work until Jacob pressed the switch on Robbie. Robbie moved flexibly, sped up as directed, and even made a bounce and landed steadily. Amazed, people began to gather. When Robbie suddenly took a bow, introducing himself with a human-like voice, “Hi! I am Robbie. Nice to meet you!” the crowd crupted, clapping and cheering for the team’s creativity. They won a big prize, along with the joy of being seen and recognized. Seeing Alex and Jacob's beaming faces, Susan felt a sense of pride and delight, realizing she had made the right choice.
After dinner, Susan walked cheerfully to Jacob’s house. The moment she entered, the boys welcomed her eagerly. They had already laid out tools and the robot. Robbie, stood in the center like a patient awaiting surgery. Susan carefully examined Robbie again. She adjusted some other tiny parts around the wires while explaining patiently to the boys how each part worked. With skillful fingers, she reconnected a few loose connections. As Robbie started to move smoothly, its legs following the right rhythm, the boys’ eyes lit up with excitement. “Susan, you’re amazing! Please join our team and compete with us!” they said together. Susan's heart swelled with pride and she nodded with a big smile.
Finally, the competition day came, and the new team was ready. Standing on the stage, Susan felt a bit nervous, but the encouraging smiles from Alex and Jacob beside her calmed her down. The spotlight shone brightly on them as Robbie performed flawlessly, striding across the stage with precision. Cheers erupted from the audience. When they won the first prize, joy filled their hearts. Back at school. a classmate came over with an admiring look. “Hey! You guys are really great!” Other classmates also nodded in approval. In that enlightening moment, Susan realized that following her passion and working together could open doors to success and acceptance.
