Our Oceans, Our Responsibility
June 8th was officially named by the UN in 2009 as World Oceans Day. Obviously, it attaches great importance to ocean protection.
The oceans are to our human beings what water is to fish. Not only does it provide us with abundant resources, but it also plays a role in maintaining the balance of our ecosystem. Unfortunately, as our economy advances, recent years have seen the oceans being polluted. Therefore, it is high time that we took measures to protect the oceans. Countries should team up with one another to work out practical plans regarding ocean protection. Individuals should enhance awareness of ocean protection.
Every little effort counts. As long as we try our best, we will make a difference to the marine environment.

Nowadays, with the development of society, wildlife is dying out at an alarming rate. On average, 200 species are becoming extinct every day. This mass extinction results from hunting, habitat loss, and pollution.
Protecting wildlife is a shared responsibility that calls for engagement from all sectors. For the government, establishing nature reserves is of great importance, which serve as safe shelters, protecting wildlife from attacks. In addition, laws should be made to place wild animals under national protection. Social organizations play a crucial role as well. In particular, various educational campaigns and activities can be organized to raise public awareness about wildlife conservation. As for us students, not only can we actively participate in volunteer activities, such as cleaning up natural habitats and planting trees to restore forests, but also we ought to reduce our consumption of products made from endangered animals.
It's high time that we should take immediate action. Only when we live in harmony with wildlife can we live a better life.
