the issue of hunger
One in nine people in the world do not have enough food to eat, that's 821 million people who are undernourished.
One third of all food produced is lost or wasted –around 1.3 billion tonnes(公吨) of food costing the global economy close to $940 billion each year.
Wasting food is worse than total emissions from flying (1.9%), plastic production (3.8%) and oil extraction (3.8%).
If one quarter of the food currently lost or wasted could be saved, it would be enough to feed 870 million hungry people.

Dear fellow students,
We all feel concerned when seeing leftovers piled in the bins of the canteen. To arouse our awareness of saving food, our school is to launch a campaign against food waste.
Treasuring food is a Chinese traditional virtue. As for us students, please don’t order too much food that we can’t finish. Furthermore, let’s remind each other to clear the plate or pack leftovers all the time whether at school or at restaurant.
Remember, every grain comes after hard work. Let’s save food and do it from now on.
