The vlog, a short video blog, is becoming popular with young people in China.
More and more people use their phones and cameras to shoot short videos. In the videos, people usually share their lives and ideas. There are popular vlogs about beauty, games, fashion, food and travel.
According to a survey by China Youth Daily, most people are interested in famous people’s vlogs. More than half of the people say they watch vlogs and make vlogs. They use vlogs to share feelings and stories. 57% say food vlogs are their favourite. About 30% of the people say they enjoy watching vlogs about travel.
Shen Xiao is a student from Shanxi. He often watches vlogs and he likes to shoot vlogs about cooking, learning and shopping. “I can learn about others’ lives from their vlogs. Vlogs help me know the newest things and bring fun to my life,” Shen says. “Shooting vlogs is a good way to relax.”
However, many people think vlogs have some problems. Some say that there are many advertisements(广告) on the vlogs. Others say vlogs are not fit for everybody. They have some bad advice for children.
