基数词表示数量、计数。

结构：描述人或事物的总数。
例句：There are four seasons in a year.

基数词—1–12
1–12 为独立单词，必须逐个记忆。

11 eleven 12 twelve
用法：最基础计数，无规律。
基数词—13–19
13–19 以 -teen 结尾。
13 thirteen 14 fourteen 15 fifteen

19 nineteen
注意：thirteen, fifteen 拼写特殊。
基数词—20–90整十
20–90 整十数以 -ty 结尾。

几十几：十位与个位之间加连字符 -。
结构：整十 + 连字符 + 个位。

百位与十位之间加 and。

序数词—特殊变化
1 one → first (1st) 2 two → second (2nd)3 three → third (3rd)
这三个无规律，必须特殊记忆。
序数词—通用规则（4–19）
4–19 一般加 -th。
特殊变化：8 eight → eighth（去t）9 nine → ninth（去e）5 five → fifth 12 twelve → twelfth（ve→f）
序数词—整十变化
整十词：ty → tie + th
20 twenty → twentieth 30 thirty → thirtieth
40 forty → fortieth 50 fifty → fiftieth
序数词—几十几变化
几十几：前基后序,只把个位变为序数词。
21 twenty-one → twenty-first 99 ninety-nine → ninety-ninth
序数词—用法规则1
一般情况：序数词前加 the
the first lesson/ the second floor/the fifth month
例句：January is the first month.

前面有物主代词（my/his/her），不加the。例: my first time/her third bag
