形容词和副词的比较级和最高级

单音节词和部分双音节词 一般在词尾加-er或-est high tall higher taller highest highest

重读闭音节词刺猬只有一个辅音字母时，先双写该辅音字母，再加-er或-est big thin fat hot bigger thinner fatter hotter biggest thinnest fattest hottest

1)比较级表示两者之间的比较,比较级之前可以用much，a little, a lot, rather等修饰，表程度；常用句型结构有：
①A+ be/谓语动词 +比较级+ than B（A比B……）
②比较级+and +比较级（越来越......) 如：better and better 越来越好
③The + 比较级，the +比较级 （越.....就越......) 如：The more, the better.
④比较级表示最高级含义 ：形容词/副词的比较级＋than＋any other＋单数名词
如：Tom studies better than any other student in his class.
汤姆比他班上的其他任何一个学生学习都好。/汤姆是班上学习最好的学生。
2）最高级表示三者或三者以上的比较,形容词最高级的前面一定要加the，副词最高级前的the可以省略；常用句型有：
①Which/who＋be＋the＋形容词的最高级，A、B or C
如：Who is the tallest, Tom, Bill or Jim
② A＋be/谓语动词＋the＋形容词/副词的最高级＋（of/in...）+范围（最……的）
如：John runs fastest in his class. / John runs fastest of all the students.
3）最高级的特殊用法
①...one of＋the＋形容词最高级＋复数名词（最……的之一）
如：China is one of the largest countries all over the world.
②...the＋序数词＋形容词的最高级（第几……的……）
如：The Yellow River is the second longest river in China. 黄河是中国第二长河。
4）表示两者在某一方面相同时，用“as+形容词或副词原形+as”的句型，否定形式“not so/as+形容词或副词原型+as”。如：Tom doesn’t run as/so fast as Jack.
倍数表达
1）A+ be/谓语动词+倍数+as+ adj/adv（原级）+as + B
2）A+ be/谓语动词+倍数+形容词/副词比较级+than+ B
This elephant is almost two times as tall as this panda.
This elephant is almost two times taller than this panda.
