Dear Jack,
Since you’re too busy to visit the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang in person, I’d like to recommend the “Digital Dunhuang” online project to you.
The Mogao Caves are located in Gansu Province along the ancient Silk Road. They are famous for their beautiful murals and painted sculptures, which are treasures of Chinese Buddhist art.
Through the online project, you can take a virtual tour without leaving home. The 360-degree panoramic views let you see every detail clearly, and you can even zoom in to enjoy the exquisite paintings. You can also access video commentaries that introduce the stories behind each cave, which helps you understand the cultural background of these ancient artworks.
I believe you’ll enjoy this special way to explore the Mogao Caves. Try it soon and tell me what you think!
Yours,
Li Ming
