They ran over and found a small bird in the net. The bird was black and white, and it had orange legs.

“Why not ” Christine asked.
“There aren’t many fish anymore,” said her dad. The children put the small puffin in a box. Christine’s mom gave the children some fish and they fed the puffin.
Ryan came over to Christine’s house every day to feed the puffin. It got bigger and bigger. One morning there was no puffin in the box.
“Where is it ” Christine asked her mom.
“I’m sure the puffin is with its friends out in the sea.”

Recently I had a trip to Sydney with my parents. We visited the Wildlife Park.
The Wildlife Park has lots of different animals. Some are native (当地的) to Australia and can only be found there. In zoos, most of the animals are in cages (笼子).
We first spent some time with the kangaroos. We could touch and feed them. It was very exciting to be so close to them. There were koalas there too. They looked very cuddly(令人想拥抱的). Although we couldn’t carry koalas, I could take a photo with one. It is a wonderful souvenir (纪念品) of my holiday in Sydney.
The Wildlife Park has plenty of freshwater and saltwater crocodiles. Some of them are very big and scary (吓人的) with huge teeth! I did not want to get too close to them.
There was also a bird show. The keepers showed us different species (种类) of birds. I saw an old parrot (鹦鹉). It could “talk” and made a great impression on me.

Dear Tom,
How are you doing In China we have a lot of traditional festivals but my favorite festival is the Mid-Autumn Festival. Our family usually get together to celebrate it at home.
This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival was very special for me. I went to my grandparents’ house with my parents as usual. When I got to the house, my grandpa told me this year we would make mooncakes by ourselves. I thought it was really a great idea. Then my grandparents took out different kinds of materials and taught us how to make mooncakes. It was difficult but interesting. In the evening, we admired the moon and enjoyed handmade mooncakes. What a meaningful festival! I expect this festival because not only I can eat the moonakes and other special delicious dishes, but also the whole family can have a great time together.
Best wishes!
Yours,
Li Hua
