教学目标 通过本课的学习,学生能够:1. 掌握提出建议和接纳建议的常用句型;2. 就有效使用肢体语言给予建议;3. 在对话后,能够整理交流中获得的信息并分享。
教学重点 掌握提出建议和接纳建议的核心语言知识。
教学难点 以对话的形式谈论如何有效使用肢体语言。
【教学过程】
Step 1 Lead-in
1. 小游戏:Guess the feeling
教师做出不同肢体动作:低头、紧张搓手、弯腰驼背、不看观众、做手势、抬头挺胸,让 学生用英语猜:Are you nervous Are you confident
2. 引出主题
教师提问:When we give a presentation, is body language important
学生自由回答,教师引出课题:
Today we’ll learn how to improve body language in presentations, and how to give & accept suggestions.
Step 2 Pre-speaking 词汇与句型铺垫
1. 创设情境:
I am practising my presentation in front of my classmates. Let’s learn how to make and accept suggestions. Pay attention to the expressions in blue.
学生听录音跟读教材 27 页的对话内容,初步了解如何提出建议和接纳建议。
2. 呈现功能句型(板书核心)教师展示教材中蓝色标注句型,并指导学生进行分类:
l Making suggestions(提建议):
l Accepting suggestions(接受建议):
3. 拓展和总结相关句型的学习。
(1) Making suggestions:
Maybe / I think you should ... Why don’t you … You’d better … If I were you, I would ... Why not … What / How about … Let’s …! You ought to ... I suggest (that) you ... Perhaps you should ...
(2) Accepting suggestions:
That’s a good suggestion! That’s a good idea! I will try that next time. OK! Certainly. / Of
course. It sounds nice/great/wonderful. All right. / With pleasure. / I agree with you. I’d love to. Yes, please. / Yes, I think so.
(3) Rejecting suggestions:
No, thanks. No, I don’t think so. I’m afraid not. Sorry, I can’t make it. I don’t feel like it.
I’d love to, but I …I’m afraid I can’t …
Step 3 While-speaking 对话学习与精读
1. 教师带读+分角色朗读:全班齐读 → 男生女生分角色 → 三组学生上台朗读,纠正语音语 调。对话解析带领学生划出重点句型,讲解每句建议对应的肢体语言问题:
breathe slowly and relax(缓解紧张)
make more eye contact(多和观众眼神交流)
use gestures to emphasize points(用手势强调观点) keep your back straight, stand up straight(挺直腰背)
2. 简单问答巩固
Q: What’s wrong with S1’s presentation
S: He looks nervous, looks at notes, doesn’t keep back straight …
Step 4 Practice 句型操练与半开放性练习
1. Activity 1 句型替换操练(机械→半机械)
教师给出问题,学生用不同建议句型回答,每人一句,轮换使用: Problem 1: I’m very nervous when I speak English.
S1: I think you should breathe slowly.
S2: If I were you, I would relax myself. Problem 2: I don’t look at my classmates. S1: You’d better make eye contact.
S2: Why don’t you look at your audience 2. Activity 2 快速回应操练(接受建议) 教师说建议,学生立刻用接受句型回应:
T: You should stand up straight. Ss: That’s a good suggestion!
T: Why don’t you use gestures
Ss: That’s a good idea! I’ll try that next time.
Step 5 Production 角色扮演输出(核心任务)
使用教材第 2 部分三个情景,进行小组角色扮演,这是本课口语输出重点。
任务要求:三人一组:1 人扮演 “有肢体语言问题的学生”,2 人扮演 “提建议的同学” 。从以 下三个情景任选一个完成对话:
1. Wu Di looks at the whiteboard all the time. He is not looking at the audience.
2. Han Li looks down while she is talking. She is also playing with her hair as she speaks.
3. Wang Jun is very nervous, and his hands are shaking during the presentation. 邀请 2-3 组上台表演,全班鼓掌,教师用简单英语点评:
Good use of “You’d better …”
Great body language! Perfect dialogue.
Step 6 Summary & Homework 总结与作业
课堂总结师生共同回顾:
1. 如何提建议:4 个核心句型
2. 如何接受建议:3 个常用表达
3. 演讲中好的肢体语言:眼神交流、抬头挺胸、放松、用手势、不做小动作。
