教学内容 Focus on culture; Cross-curricular connection & Project
主要语篇 My dad；My social circle
教学目标 通过本课的学习，学生能够：了解英语诗歌中押韵词、诗行、诗节等概念。理解诗歌My dad的内容和作者想要表达的情感。了解大多数国家庆祝父亲节的时间及其含义；表达自己的爱和感恩之情。获取“社交圈”的相关知识并绘制自己的“社交圈”。了解项目任务的主题和要求并在班级中展示同伴合作学习成果。
教学重点 理解诗歌My dad的内容和作者想要表达的情感；充分了解项目任务的主题、要求和学习方法。
教学难点 能用不同的方式向父母等重要的身边人表达自己的爱及感恩之情；小组合作并在班级中分享合作成果。
【教学过程】
Step 1 Lead in
Watch the film. 学生观看加菲猫的电影片段，分析人物的父子关系，从而对父爱的主题进行讨论：What do you think of fatherly love 同时学生一起讨论，如何对自己爱的人表达感情。
Step 2 Reading
1. Pre-reading: Study the new words and phrases. 学习新词汇，帮助学生更好的理解文段。
2. While reading
Fast Reading: 学生听课文录音，圈出其中的新词汇和短语，完成以下两个阅读理解题。
How many verses(诗节) and lines(诗行) are there in the poem
Why do you think she wrote the poem
教师在学生阅读后给学生介绍英语诗歌中诗行（line）和诗节（verse/stanza）的概念。
Detail reading:
①引导学生更详细地阅读诗歌，并完成表格填写。
At home At work
What does Mary’s dad do every day
How does he feel
What does Mary think of her dad
②教师可针对诗歌当中的一些细节进行追问，引导学生进一步理解Mary所表达的情感。
例如：
Why is Mary’s dad too tired to laugh or play
What does Mary think of her dad
What does Mary really think of her dad, a boring man or a superman
③教师给学生讲解英文诗歌中有关押韵词（rhyme）的知识，学生听诗歌朗诵录音，并
圈出押韵词。学生模仿朗读，教师提醒学生注意根据不同诗节中作者的情感为朗读注入
合适的情感。
3. Post reading
(1) Discussion: 学生阅读诗歌后关于父亲节的注释，教师邀请学生分享自己对于父亲节的了解，例如:其他国家庆祝父亲节的时间、典型的活动等，学生也可以分享自己在父亲节为父亲做过最特别的事。
(2) Exercise: 完成书本15页的课后练习。
(3) Share your ideas: 学生以小组形式讨论以下问题，并进行分享。

How do you show your love for your father / mother
(4) Exploring more: 通过课后观看相关电影或收集网上资料等，对本单元主题进一步深入理解。
(5) Exercise: Phrases and language points; Practice 复习词汇和短语，学习文本重点句型和语法，并通过练习进行巩固和提高。
Step 3 Cross-curricular connection Education
Learn about the theory and discuss the questions.学习有关社交圈理论的知识，并学习书本16页的文章，完成思维导图的练习。
Step 4 Project
Making an album of the people important to you:
根据书本第17页的任务，对自己重要的人进行描述，并在班级中通过演讲进行分享。

Step 5 Wits corner
Learn about some famous sayings.拓展更多名句学习。
