资源简介 Unit 2 Home Sweet HomeProject (Section B 4a-4d)教学目标:语言能力:熟练运用本单元核心句型询问并记录同伴的家务习惯和观点;学习能力和思维品质:整合所获信息,汇总小组成员的运动习惯并进行分析和比较,并以口头的形式向全班进行汇报;文化意识:通过与同伴的交流,向家务榜样学习,强化“劳动最光荣”的责任意识。教学重难点:重点:. 1、正确使用家务动词短语:do the dishes, mop the floor, walk the dog…;采访并记录3项关键信息(chore / frequency /thoughts);通过条形图可视化数据,发现班级家务榜样。难点:. 1、正确搭配家务劳动有关的动词短语与频率副词;小组分工,听说读写多项技能综合探究呈现家务劳动情况,用多样句式与完整结构完成逻辑清晰、表达流畅的口头报告;对图表结果进行批判性分析与思考,为什么这些同学会更多参与家务劳动,班级参与家务劳动和家庭当中主要劳动者的角色的性别差异,如何公平分担。教学流程:Step 1:Project preparationActivity 1: Let’s debateT shows a video about people’s different ideas and lead students to debate whether teenage students should do chores at home.设计意图:教师首先抛出辩论话题 “Teenagers should / should not do chores at home”,利用正反两方观点的碰撞,激活学生已有生活经验与语言储备。通过辩论,学生自然生成 “tiring but rewarding” “a waste of time” 等多元价值取向,为后续项目任务中“表达家务意义”提供丰富语料与情感铺垫。Activity 2: Let’s readT shows the notice to select Helping Hands Award winners to create a scenario for students.设计意图:真实情境激发学生的学习兴趣,将本单元所学劳动相关知识应用于实际生活,综合应用英语学习多种技能。Activity 3: Let’s answerFill in the table with short but key answers to the 3 questions.Q1:What chores do you do the most Q2:How often do you do chores Q3: What do you think about doing chores Activity 4: Let’s make sentences using different sentence patternsT leads students to talk about what chores they often do, how often they do them and their ideas on them using different expressions and sentence patterns with some examples given.设计意图: 通过自我的口头练习与草稿书写内化本单元关于家务劳动的表达。并学会用长难句型整合表达家务、频率和感受等多项内容。Step 2:Project presentationActivity 4: Let’s surveyDivide the students into group of six and make sure each one’s job.Interview group members about the above three questions and record in short answers.Activity 5: Let’s writeWrite a draft about the survey. Today, we did a survey about the household chores we do and our thoughts on them. In our group, Peter never does housework because he thinks it's tiring and boring. Sam and Linda like keeping pets becuase they treat them as parts of the family. Shirley and Sean help their parents with housework such as watering the plants and making the meals three to four times a week because they think their parents are too tired. While in Judy's eyes, housework can not only exercise her body, but also bring her a strong sense of responsibility and satisfication. Thus she tries different chores every day.
