Listening to music can make you feel less sick when in a moving car, according to new research, but it depends on the type of song you play.
Motion sickness (运动晕眩症) is feeling sick or even wanting to vomit (呕吐). It often happens when you’re traveling by car, boat, plane, train or other transportations. Almost everyone gets motion sickness if the movement is strong enough. Children between the ages of 2 and 12 are most likely to get it.
People get motion sickness because their senses send different messages to their brains. In a moving car, for example, your eyes tell your brain you’re moving, but your inner ear (which helps with balance) tells your brain you’re sitting still. This conflict (矛盾) can make you feel ill. If you’re reading a book or looking at a screen, stop it.
Led by brain expert Li Yilun, the team chose 30 volunteers to take part in the study. The results showed that joyful music was better at reducing motion sickness problems than anything else. Soft music was a close second, followed by loud music. However, sad music actually slowed down people’s getting better. Even people who didn’t listen to any music felt better sooner than those who listened to sad music.
Some people believe that eating ginger (生姜) will help them avoid vomiting. Although research hasn’t proved that it works, if it makes you feel better, keep using it. Motion sickness is unpleasant, but it will go away when you stop moving.
69.Who is most likely to get motion sickness
A.Kids. B.Teenagers. C.Adults. D.Elders.
70.What does the underlined word “it” in paragraph 3 refer to (指的是)
A.The conflict between our eyes and inner ear. B.The increasing speed of transportations.
C.Driving a car or taking a plane. D.Reading a book or looking at a screen.
71.What kind of music works best for motion sickness according to the study
A.Loud music. B.Soft music. C.Joyful music. D.Sad music.
72.What can we know from the text
A.Fresh air can help make us feel better when traveling.
B.The basic way to reduce motion sickness is to stop moving.
C.The louder the music is, the less motion sickness people will feel.
D.Eating ginger can truly prevent people from motion sickness.

They need to study hard and learn new things. It is the duty of young people to turn the knowledge they have learned into the strength to build the country.

The Meaning of Growth
Growth is full of surprises and challenges. I once feared public speaking. I would freeze up when asked to speak in class. Last year, my teacher encouraged me to join an English speech contest. At first, I wanted to give up, but with her help, I read my script aloud in front of the mirror every day.
On the contest day, though nervous, I tried my best to speak clearly. I didn’t win first prize, but I finished the speech smoothly. After that, I became more confident.
To me, growth doesn’t mean being perfect. It means facing difficulties bravely, and becoming a better version of myself.
