Using green products alone cannot solve environmental problems. The most effective way is to reduce, reuse and recycle. Sometimes buying fewer things is much greener than buying more green products.
False “Green Truth”
Hybrid (混合动力产品) is better
Hybrid vehicles are a better choice for the environment than a standard vehicle. Again, this is a common false statement about green living. The truth is that Hybrid products, such as cars, take more energy to produce than they conserve. They are like bottled water in that respect. It takes more energy to make the item that is supposed to be green and environmentally better than the item itself gives back.
It is an unethical (不道德的) practice where companies mislead consumers by claiming to be environmentally friendly or sustainable.
It may involve simply changing the packaging of existing product while continuing to use unsustainable ingredients or practices.
