Only 200 snakes can prove fatal or cause serious injury to humans. That’s about 7%! The majority are harmless.
Only three species feed on blood, the rest feed on insects or fruit, and only 0.5% of vampire bats (吸血蝙蝠) actually carry rabies (狂犬病). Since they are so small, the disease kills them quickly, and they rarely spread the disease.
