Hi Jason! My favourite free-time activity is reading. I started this activity when I was five. Back then, my mom often read picture books to me before bed. The interesting stories and colorful pictures made me love books right away. Later, I began reading by myself.
Now, I like to read every night before going to bed and on weekend afternoons. Where do I read In my bedroom, sitting by the window, or in the nice corner of the community library.
I love reading for many reasons. First, it lets me enter different worlds—happy forests, magical kingdoms, or busy cities through words. Also, I find it fun to learn new knowledge, like history stories or scientific facts from books. Besides, it helps me relax after a busy day. When I read the story, I forget I’m tired. What’s more, it makes me really happy when I feel close to the characters, like I’m sharing their joys and sad moments.
Reading fills my free time with wonders. Maybe you’ll find your own “book world” too!

What is my favourite free-time nctivity
My favourite free-time activity is reading storybooks. I first got into it when I was 10 years old. At that time, my mum bought me a copy of The Litlle Prince as a birthday gift. At first, I just read it for fun, but soon I fell in love with the interesting characters and warm stories.
Now, I spend 30 minutes reading every evening after finishing my homework. Reading takes me to different worlds -- sometimes I'm with a brave sailor on the sea, and sometimes I'm in a magical forest with talking animals. It not only helps me relax after a busy day but also teaches me new words and ideas. I think reading is the best way to make my free time meaningful and happy.

Show time
In our group, eight people like listening to music. It is the most popular free-time activity. We like it because it helps us relax after class. Playing a sport is also popular and seven people like it. They think it helps them keep healthy. At the same time, six people like watching TV and six people like reading. They believe they are great ways to have a rest. Five students enjoy playing an instrument, while four like going to the cinema. Only three classmates choose drawing or painting. These activities show our group members’ different hobbies, and they all make our free time colourful.

Work Hard, Play Hard
It can be hard to make time for a hobby when we have many important things to do. But hobbies might be more important than you think.
Physical hobbies like going hiking or playing tennis can help you to stay healthy. They keep you fit, and they can even lower stress and improve your memory and concentration. Other types of hobbies can also keep us healthy. Some scientists believe that making music can lower our blood pressure and make our body stronger. This makes it harder for us to fall sick. Playing an instrument also keeps our brains young. So, if you think that playing the guitar is a waste of time, remember that this hobby is actually a great way to stay healthy!

Hobbies are also good for your emotional well-being. Creative hobbies like painting or writing can help you deal with negative emotions by giving you a way to express how you feel. They can even make you feel good about yourself! In one study, after just 45 minutes of making art, most of the participants reported feeling more confident in themselves!
However, while hobbies have many benefits, it is important to find the right balance. Playing computer games or chatting online may be fun, but such hobbies usually involve a lot of screen time. That could cause problems such as eye strain or poor sleep. These activities are also usually done alone, and that could cause some people to feel lonely. Why not choose an outdoor hobby instead Fresh air, green spaces, peace and quiet—these things help us to relax and feel good. And if you go hiking or fly a kite in the park, you can take a friend with you! Hanging out with friends reduces loneliness and can be a good way to build relationships.
Regardless of what your hobby is, it is important to make time for it. After all, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!
