Lead-in
Big animated films like Ne Zha 2 (2025) are not easy to make.
The characters and the backgrounds are drawn by thousands of artists. Digital tools are used to make the films. A lot of other tasks also need to be done. The music and sound effects are created. The dialogue is recorded too.
In the end, all the hard work is worth it—these films are loved by people of all ages.

Passive sentences often do not focus on who or what does something.

(We don’t know or care who erases.)

Lianhuanhua: the Chinese comic books
Lianhuanhua is a traditional Chinese art form that combines pictures and text to tell stories. It is similar to comic books and sprang up in the early 20th century as a popular art form for spreading Chinese culture.
In lianhuanhua, the story is often written before the artist starts to draw. The written story is usually told in the captions. However, some artists do not use captions, but rather show the characters’ personalities, conversations or thoughts through the artwork.
One of the most famous lianhuanhua series is Sanmao. The artist Zhang Leping first created the character in 1935, and Sanmao’s adventures are still enjoyed by people to this day.

1. 被动语态则表示主语是动作的承受者或动目标,有及物动词可用于被动语态。
take place, break out, belong, happen, die, last, appear 等不及物动词不能用于被动语态。

后面的不定式不带 “ to”变为被动语态时必须加上 “ to”。
