Natural disasters are always harmful. Most clearly, they harm the environment, break down homes, and even cause deaths in large numbers. Still, many of the bad effects are unseen. For example, a heatwave can raise the temperature of sea water, and kill the fish and plants in the sea. As a result, we have less seafood.
Although different disasters may have different causes, human activities can also bring about natural disasters. For example, the burning of coal can lead to global warming, and then cause longer and hotter heatwaves and more serious rainstorms. We should try our best to prevent natural disasters. At the same time, we should also learn how to protect ourselves in disasters.
Read the text and underline the sentences about what we should do.
