省略，就是在不影响语义的前提下，为了避免重复或让语言更简洁，有意识地省去句中某些必要成分的语言现象。就像登山时，你不会把家里所有的东西都背上山，只会带上必需品 —— 省略的成分可通过上下文还原，不影响核心意思的表达。

Why：为什么要省略？
省略主要有以下几个目的，就像登山能让我们收获不同的风景。
1.轻装上阵，简洁明了：省去那些可有可无的词，让句子读起来不啰嗦。
2.凸显重点，焦点突出：去掉旧信息，新信息（重点）就自然被凸显出来了。
3.衔接上下文，行云流水：让句子之间的联系更紧密，读起来一气呵成。

一、定语从句的省略
当关系代词（that, which, who/whom）在定语从句中充当动词的宾语或介词的宾语时，通常可以省略。例：穹窿山所支持的种子植物为当地的动物提供食物。The seed plants (that/which) the mountain supports provide food for local animals.
1. 我们在穹窿山上看到的野生动物包括超过150种鸟类。

1. 主语中有 do（实义动词 “做”），作表语的不定式可省略 to
