An Enjoyable Trip
Last month, I went on a trip to Sanya, Hainan with my family. We went there by train. It took us about 12 hours to get there. It was sunny there.
On the first day, we walked around the city. It was quite a beautiful place. The sky was blue and the air was nice and clean. We all enjoyed the beautiful views. People there were friendly to us too. On the second day, we visited one of the most famous beaches and some museums.

Then we enjoyed ourselves in a famous theme park. We did some shopping on the third day. Mum and I bought a lot of things. After that, we had a big dinner in a seafood restaurant.

一、一般过去时的基本用法
1．表示过去某个时间或某一段时间内发生的动作或存在的状态，常和表示过去的时间状语连用，如：一段时间＋ago、yesterday、yesterday morning/afternoon、last night/week/month/year、the day before yesterday（前天）、just now（刚才）、in＋过去的时间（如in 2024）等。
如：I bought this book last month. 我是上个月买的这本书。
I was born in 2010. 我是2010年出生的。
2．表示过去经常或反复发生的动作，常和often、always等表示频度的状语连用。
如：In ancient times，Chinese people often used willow branches as gifts when they said goodbye to their friends.
在古代，中国人与朋友告别时常常用柳枝作为礼物。
二、动词变过去式的规则
