本单元的写作体裁是故事类的记叙文,要求会写一个经典故事。在写作时,首先要把故事的主要角色写出来,其次简单介绍故事发展的过程,最后写出故事的结局。要注意,叙述故事时所用的时态以一般过去时和一般现在时为主。

Once upon a time, there was a rich man. He loved his son very much. Because he wanted to make his son have a happy life, he decided to send him to see a smart old man for advice on happiness. Yu Gong Moves the Mountains
Among all the Chinese traditional stories, I like Yu Gong Moves the Mountains best.
Once there lived an old man called Yu Gong in the village. Two high mountains stopped his family from walking to the other side. So Yu Gong decided to move the mountains. Although Yu Gong was old, he decided to move the mountains with his family. So Yu Gong started digging.

At that time, a “clever” man called Zhi Sou laughed at him and told him that it was impossible to move such high mountains. But Yu Gong didn't listen to him and said that his sons and grandsons would continue to move the mountains after he died. Finally,a god was so moved by Yu Gong that he sent another two gods to help take the mountains away.
The story reminds us that nothing is impossible as long as we work hard. We should not give up.

2.一般过去时和一般现在时的区别
一般过去时 一般现在时
用法 不同 表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态。 I played badminton with my father last weekend. 我上周末和爸爸一起打羽毛球了。 表示经常发生或习惯性的动作或现在的状态。
I often play badminton with my father. 我经常和爸爸一起打羽毛球。
一般过去时 一般现在时
时间 状语 不同 常与表示过去的时间状语连用,如 last week、 yesterday、two days ago、last month等。 The farmer lost his horse last week. 这个农夫上个星期丢了马。 常与表示现在的时间状语连用, 如now、every day等。
We read English every morning.
我们每天早上读英语。
一般过去时 一般现在时
谓语 动词 不同 谓语动词使用过去式,没有人称和数的变化(was和were除外)。 The king waited for a few months and grew very angry. 国王等了几个月,变得非常生气。 Were they friendly to the ugly duckling?它们对丑小鸭友好吗? 谓语动词有人称和数的变化。第三人称单数作主语时,谓语动词用第三人称单数形式(be动词用is);其他人称作主语时,则用动词原形(be动词用am或are)。
My mother enjoys reading and I enjoy travelling. 我妈妈喜欢阅读,而我喜欢旅行。
The story is very interesting. 这个故事非常有趣。
二、一般过去时的功能。
1.表示过去某个特定的时间或某一段时间发生的动作或情况。
如:He never smoked.
他从不抽烟。
2.表示过去的习惯动作。
如:Wherever he travelled in those years,he wrote down what he saw and heard.
那些年里,他每到一个地方旅行,总会把所见所闻记下来。
