aloud adv. 大声地, 出声地
aloud adv. 大声地, 出声地 强调出声,让人听见。 通常与cry，read，shout等动词连用。
loud adj. 高声的, 响亮的 可作表语或定语。
adv. 高声地, 响亮地 常与speak、talk等词连用，强调状态和给人的感觉。
loudly adv. 喧闹地; 大声地 有时可与loud互换。含有“喧闹”或“嘈杂”的意味。

He has a loud voice.
Don’t talk so loud / loudly.
Jim played the drums loudly last night.
【语境应用】将下列英语句子翻译成汉语。
1) Could you please read the letter aloud

less是little的比较级，一般用来修饰不可数名词。
less and less 越来越少
结构为“比较级+ and +比较级”。这一结构意为“越来
越……”。
4. As my name suggests, I make rain for my plants and animals, such as monkeys, snakes and many kinds of flowers. (P77)
就像我的名字暗示的那样，我为我的植物和动物，如猴子、蛇和各种花朵，制造雨水。
1) suggest v. 暗示，暗指
e.g. His smile suggested (that) he was satisfied.

【常用结构】
suggest后接名词；
suggest doing sth. 建议做某事；
suggest后接that从句，从句中谓语多由“should +动词原形” 构成或用动词原形，that可以省略。

such as和for example
such as和for example均可用于表示举例，有时二者可以互换。但也有区别，区别如下：

such as 用于举例时，跟在被说明的内容之后 列举的事物要紧随such as后，as后不可有逗号 such as后不接句子 I like all kinds of fruit such as apples, pears and bananas.

for example 常用逗号与被说明的内容隔开 可以用句子来说明 在句中的位置比较灵活，位于句首、句中或句末均可 I like many team sports, football, for example.
I have many dreams. For example, I want to go on a visit to Beijing.
【语境应用】根据句意选用such as或for example填空。

disappear v. 消失，不见
disappear是appear的反义词，其中dis-是否定前缀。
类似以dis-为否定前缀的词还有disagree (不同意)和
dislike (不喜欢)等。

但现在只剩大约25座了。
around adv. 大约
用在数字之前，与about同义。
