Around the World in Eighty Days
How long does it take to travel around the world Travelling is simple and easy today. But what about 150 years ago
Around the World in Eighty Days is a famous book by Jules Verne. It tells the story of Phileas Fogg. He said that he could travel around the world in 80 days. But no one believed him. Remember, there were no planes or high-speed trains then!
Fogg's trip started and ended in London. He visited many places. However, it wasn't easy.
Fogg used all kinds of possible ways to travel — he had to save time! After many adventures, he finally came back to London. However, he found he was five minutes late.
But luckily, he travelled east and crossed the International Date Line. This gave him one more day. That means he finished the journey on time. He won!
It took Fogg 80 days to finish the journey. However, the fastest way today takes less than 80 hours. Would you like to be the Phileas Fogg of the 21st century'

No one believed Fogg could travel around the world in 80 days, but he made it. What kept him going Have you ever tried to do something that others thought was impossible What happened
Fogg kept going because he believed in himself. He didn't give up even when others laughed at him.
Yes, I once tried to learn to ride a bike. Everyone said I was too young, but I kept trying and finally made it.
Today we can travel around the world in less than 80 hours — much faster than Fogg. What do you think is the biggest difference between traveling today and traveling in Fogg’s time Would you prefer a fast trip like today’s or a long adventure like Fogg’s Why
The biggest difference is speed. Today we travel fast but may miss many interesting things along the way.
I would choose Fogg's way because he had more adventures and saw more places, even though it took longer.
