能够正确使用比较级和平级的比较。
能够尽可能多地使用核心词汇和Useful expressions中的表达。
Share your homework with each other to see who has found out all the sentences using more/less, than or as … as. And then discuss the grammar rules. Maybe you can go over the tables on pages 127—130 first.

Read the sentences from the reading passage and summarise the grammar rules.

Now find more sentences with these structures in the reading passage.

主语 + … + 比较级 + than + 被比较对象
比较级可被a little, a bit, a lot, much, even, still, far, rather, any等修饰。
比较级的结构
平级比较的结构
主语 + … + as + 原级 + as + 被比较对象
否定形式：主语 + … + not as / so + 原级 + as + 被比较对象
平级的比较
1. 肯定结构
as … as … 和……一样……
as与as之间要用形容词或副词的原形
e.g. I want to be as popular as Mike.
我想和Mike一样受欢迎。
My sister runs as fast as me.
我妹妹跑得和我一样快。
2. 否定结构
not as / so … as … 不像……一样……
可以转化为含比较级的结构
e.g. My sister is not as / so careful as me.
我姐姐不像我那么细心。
= I am more careful than my sister.

Iguazu Falls 伊瓜苏大瀑布
被誉为“南美第一奇观”的伊瓜苏大瀑布位于巴西和阿根廷国界上，是南美洲最大的瀑布，也是世界三大瀑布之一。
伊瓜苏大瀑布为马蹄形瀑布，汛期落差达60-82米。瀑布跌落声远及周围25千米，溅起的雾幕在阳光的映射下，形成无数光怪陆离的彩虹，蔚为壮观。
