宾语从句
一、定义
在句子中充当宾语成分的从句是宾语从句。
二、结构
主句+连接词+宾语从句。
连接词:a. 所接从句为陈述句时,用that连接。(无意义,可省略)He says(that) he is a teacher.
b. 所接从句为疑问句时,用whether或if连接。(不可省略)如果从句中有or not,则只能用whether 引导。 He wonders whether the answer is true or not.
语序:宾语从句一定是陈述语序。I don't know whether she will come tomorrow.
时态:主过从必过,主现从不限,客观真理用现在。
主过从必过:主句用一般现在时态,从句必须用过去的某种时态。
主现从不限:主句用一般现在时态,从句时态不受限制。
客观真理用现在:不管主句什么时态,从句只要是客观真理,只能用一般现在时。
【典例】
I wonder if he ________ time tomorrow. If he ________ free, I'll invite him to give a speech in our school.

belong to属于
belong to是表示“属于”,“是……的成员”等含义。其主要用法如下:
(1)表示某物属于某人或某事物。
例如: For him, the award belonged to the team, and he was just doing his job. 对他来说,这个奖项属于团队,他只是在履行他的职责。(教材·P77)
This book belongs to me. 这本书属于我。
(2)表示某人是某团体、组织等中的一员。

注意: belong to 不用于进行时态和被动语态中。
