although: 虽 然, 尽管；引导让步状语从句
可放在主句前，也可放在主句后，相当于though.
Although you argued, you are still very close friends.

“隐形 but 规则”: 通常, though / although与 but, because, so 不可同时使用。
until: 直到…为止, 直到…才; 引导时间状语从句
肯定句 + until: 表示“直到…”，主句动作“持续到”某个时间点。
I will stay here until you come back. 译：_________________________.
not... until: 表示“直到…才…”，强调动作的开始时间。
He didn’t leave until the rain stopped. 译：________________________
我会待在这里直到你回来。
他直到雨停了才离开。

so that: 以便, 为了；引导目的状语从句
一般放在主句后，且不用逗号隔开，相当于in order that.
He studies hard so that (=in order that) he can pass the exam.
if: 如果; 引导条件状语从句
If 的条件句时态：“主将从现” 当表示将来可能发生的事时，If引导的条件从句用一般现在时，主句用一般将来时（will / be going to）。
If + 一般现在时，主语 + will + 动词原形：
If she ________(have) time, she ____________(come) to the party.
so... that...: “如此…以至于…”, 引导结果状语从句，说明程度导致的结果。 so + adj./adv. + that + 从句：He got up so early that he caught the bus easily.
