These words are called Linking verbs (系动词).
用于连接主语和表语，表示主语身份、性质、状态。有一定词义，但不完整，不能单独做谓语，必须和表语连用，构成系表结构。
（1）表达状态含义的状态系动词
最常见的一类系动词，它们表达主语的状态，状态
系动词只有be动词。

1 Cut two tomatoes into slices.
2 Beat two eggs. Add a little salt.
3 Put some oil in a hot pan. Add the egg mixture.

4 Put the eggs onto a plate. Add more oil to the pan. Then add the tomatoes. They can sound / taste very loud.
5 Put the eggs back in the pan and mix them with the tomatoes, then add some salt. Turn off the heat when the eggs feel / taste firm but not hard.

Cut up the vegetables and the meat, and put them in a bowl.
Add some salt , pepper and oil , and mix them together.
Put a spoon of filing(饺子馅 )in a wrapper(饺子皮) and
fold the wrapper around it.
Put the dumplings in the boiling water and wait for about 8
minutes until they are on the surface of the water. And then it’s
time to enjoy them.
