Low-carbon living means a type of lifestyle in which people do their best to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. A low-carbon lifestyle contributes a lot to environmental protection and it is a good way of slowing down climate change.
How do we live a low-carbon life Firstly, each of us is responsible for the emission of greenhouse gases. Fighting climate change needs the efforts of all people on the planet.

Secondly, we should develop good habits in our daily life. For example, we’d better use fewer paper cups, because they are made from trees. And trees can absorb carbon dioxide and reduce greenhouse gases. We should also use efficient light bulbs that conserve about one-third of the energy of normal bulbs, and last about ten times longer. And lights should be turned off if not needed. This greatly reduces electricity consumption.
Low-carbon living is easy, doable, and we all can do something in our
daily life to help.

2. What can people do to celebrate World Water Day
World Environment Day is celebrated on the 5th of June every year. First observed in 1974, it has become a major campaign for raising awareness on environmental issues from marine pollution, human overpopulation, to global warming and wildlife crime. Each year, World Environment Day has a new theme, which major corporations, NGOs, communities, governments
and celebrities worldwide adopt to advocate the
environmental protection. China was the host of the 2019 global
World Environment Day celebrations.
The theme for 2019 was “Beat Air Pollution”. It was a call for
action to stop air pollution which has become a global issue now.
