Dear Mr.Smith,
How are you getting on recently I'm writing to share with you that our class is
planning to make a digital album, which is intended to record the cherished moments
we have shared and preserve the precious memories of our daily school life
Having accompanied us patiently in both study and various colorful class
activities, you are indeed an important and unforgettable part of our shared memories.
We would highly appreciate it if you could offer some lovely photos taken with us in
class or activities. Moreover,a few warm words or sincere wishes from you will
undoubtedly make our album more impressive and meaningful.
Only with your generous participation can we make this memory collection more
complete. We sincerely hope you will lend us your kind support and are looking
forward to your reply.
Yours,
Li Hua

At Mainstreet Deli in Paris,Mary Flynn was picking up a sandwich.A QR code near
the checkout invited her to rate her experience. But,to her,the idea of leaving a customer
feedback was unappetizing."It is way too much,"she said.'Tve got tired of it."
Charles Karian,co-founder of the shop, says feedback and reviews have been part of a
business now.It is a flow that people follow before making decisions.Even though people
are aware that many online reviews are fake, they still rely heavily on ratings.A marketing
survey in 2025 shows that 97%of consumers read reviews before considering purchases.
"Whether you are buying a chicken wrap or seeing a dentist,"Charles says,"what ends up
happening is'OK,let's read some reviews."
Experts have identified a psychological mechanism that drives the increasing demand
for feedback.Reviews,in reality,function as a form of social proof,influencing people's
decisions and behaviors. This tendency is often seen in herd mentality, where individuals
seek to fit in with the majority to avoid poor decisions.
But the constant demand for reviews could bring about unfavourable consequences,
experts warn. Many are less enthusiastic about being asked to fill out business surveys.
What started as an innovative way to help consumers has increasingly become an
unwelcome burden.Besides, online reviews rarely paint the full picture because customers
are not likely to leave reviews unless they have had a particularly positive or particularly
negative experience.
To reduce overdependence on constant feedback, businesses have to toe a fine line.
Instead of asking for a review after every purchase, try after every third one or just for
big-ticket items. If a customer is especially satisfied, that is a good time to ask for a review,
too. Most people actually don't mind taking surveys if you ask the questions that you are
willing to deal with."Deep down, everybody wants to be heard,"Charles says
