表示结果关系
强调程度之深导致某种结果
中文常译为"如此……以至于……"
结构公式:
so + 形容词/副词 + that + 句子(结果)

1.so ... that 和 so that 混淆
He spoke so fast that I couldn't understand.(结果)
He spoke slowly so that I could understand.(目的)
区分:
so ... that:如此……以至于(结果)
so that:以便,为了(目的)
2.unless 的误用
I won't go unless it rains.(正确:除非下雨,否则我不去)
I'll go if it doesn't rain.(如果不下雨,我就去)
规则:unless通常与否定意义的主句连用。
3.as soon as 的时态错误
I'll call you as soon as I arrive.
I called him as soon as I arrived.
规则:as soon as引导的时间状语从句,用一般现在时表示将来。
