The First Cultural Festival
In order to help us gain a deeper insight into Chinese culture, the first Culture Festival themed“the Beauty of Chinese Traditional Culture”was held in our school last week , which turned out to be a success.
During the festival, a variety of activities were lauched, ranging from a lecture on how to appreciate traditional culture to an exhibition of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy works which were produced by students. And the highlight came on Friday evening with a live show on Chinese traditional art-- Peking Opera.
The cultural feast（盛宴） was highly thought of. Not only did it enrich students’school life, but it also greatly fueled their passion for traditional culture.
Both teachers and students thought highly of the cultural feast, adding that it could not only enrich students’school life, but also help them gain a better understanding of our traditional culture.

The First Cultural Festival
Last week witnessed the first Culture Festival held by our school with the theme of“the Beauty of Chinese Traditional Culture”.
The festival consisted of various activities, ranging from an ancient poetry recitation contest on Tuesday afternoon to a week-long exhibition, where hundreds of students’ traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy works were on display. Additionally, several celebrated actors were invited to perform Peking Opera in the schooll hall on Friday evening.
The cultural feast turned out to be a huge success. Both the teachers and students thought highly of it and regarded it as a golden chance to gain a deeper insight into Chinese traditional culture.
