Laura, an Inuit girl, moved to a far area of
the Canadian North to look for treatment. She was hospitalized for several weeks in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at SickKids.

Laura, who could hardly speak English,
was frightened and somewhat withdrawn (性格内向的). Ruth was asked to help Laura to deal with her hospitalization. Days after, Laura gradually got strength again. A doctor said it was amazing to see Laura begin to play the drum again, ever so weakly, in her ICU bed. Clearly, music therapy served as an important support for Laura and her family during this difficult time. Today she is a happy and healthy girl.

In today's blog post, I'd like to look at the role of musical scores in films.
