No. Although Scott’s team lost the race, they showed some valuable qualities of real heroes.They could even face death with bravery, peace and calm. For example, they carried the rocks even in difficult situations and they remained devoted to scientific research . The spirit and what they have done helped followers do further research.

He wrote a diary describing his journey. He was honest about his feelings of his team and his fears. Scott and his team brought back rocks for research. They thought not only themselves but also the greater good of humankind and the effect of the reserch.
