Unit 3 Food matters
一、单元主题
单元主题：食物的重要性。
主题范畴：“人与自我”及“人与社会”范畴，涉及“身心健康”“跨文化沟通与交流”及“身份认同与文化自信”等。
二、单元教学目标
本单元学习后，学生能够为自己最喜爱的食物制作一个资料页：
运用所学词汇及表达谈论食物；
运用系动词描述最喜爱的食物；
阐述食物和人们生活之间的联系。
三、分课时教学设计
第一课时Starting out
1.课时教学目标
通过本课时学习，学生能够：
（1）运用本课时的核心词汇和句型谈论食物及各国的代表性食物；
（2）运用本课时的核心词汇和句型谈论最喜欢食物及给人带来的感受。
2.核心语言
核心词汇：delicious, look, taste, smell, be/come from, be good for, signature dish等。

A: Where does/do it/they come from B: It come(s) from... . A: What does/do it/they look/smell/taste like B: It look(s)/smell(s)/taste(s)... . A: How does/do it/they make you feel B: It’s/They’re... ./It’s/They’re good for... . （教材活动2） 看图并说出图片上的美食； 回答问题：What is a signature dish 观看视频并回答问题：What foods are mentioned in the video Which countries are they from 思考问题：What do you think is China's signature dish 根据学生的回答情况，观察其能否参与互动和交流，主动分享对该主题已有的认知。 根据学生匹配的情况，评价其对不同食材词汇的认知情况。 通过对话形式，让学生介绍自己最喜欢的食物，评价其对食物的日常表达情况。
