考点 1 个人经历
When I started university, it quickly dawned on me that my class wasn’t going to be an easy place to make friends. Discussions weren’t held regularly and the study groups were changed
, which meant there wasn’t much time to get to know people.
By the time my first semester was over, I was seriously considering dropping out. However, I received good grades on my assignments, which I took as a that I should stick it out.
Still, over the course of my first and second year, the same patterns repeated. I gradually lost
interest in the major I once loved. My attendance was declining and I was becoming increasingly . I felt a lot of shame and embarrassment. I tried to my feelings from the
people closest to me.
Soon before I began my final year, despite my efforts, my professor voiced that I
seemed low in spirit. He reached out and talked with me to understand what was going on. This
proved to be a turning point, as I acknowledged I was unhappy and looked toward ways of feeling better. I started to these patterns willingly, rather than avoiding them. My decision to be more open allowed me to with another student I met on my course. Through opening
up, we discovered that we had experienced struggles, which made the weight I’d been carrying lighter.
As a recent graduate, I face the new challenges of change and uncertainty. However, I now feel equipped with useful tools to my mental well-being. I have maintained the positive routines I developed and cultivated greater openness with those around me. struggling does not mean you are weak; it is a huge step in the right direction.

One morning I was running late for a meeting, and I passed a friend in the hallway. My
friend me,“How are you doing ” But I didn’t give the response “Good, how about you ” I started to complain about the traffic, poor visibility in the rain and everything else about my trip.
Instead of sympathy, he asked me a question,“How do you know if the powers offate (命运) didn’t create those roadblocks ” The was that I might be just spared something
much worse than being late to a meeting. I gave a smile and walked on. But over the next few days the more thought about his question, the more wisdom I was able to see in it.
I remembered the times when kept me from accidents on the same roads I was
traveling on. The most memorable was a white-out snowstorm. We were forced to take a slower route which was very frustrating. Later, we heard that a family of four, just like ours, was killed by a truck on the highway we had planned on taking. As this and other memories came to
mind, I that it can be easy to be so focused on an outcome and being on schedule that better possibilities are not considered.
Ever since then, I have become more relaxed. I have lost weight, my blood pressure has , and I feel less stressed. It may or may not be happening every moment of every day, but keeping my friend’s question in mind puts me more at ease and has my life.

考点 2 生活故事
The true warmth of life often arrives in the simplest ways. One morning, a freezing rain had transformed my car windows into frosted glass. As I set about dealing with it, I a small note tucked against the driver’s side window. Pressed beneath a thin layer of ice, the handwriting remained : “This is ice, not snow. Slow starts, gentle turns, and early stops.” It was
by the elderly gentleman next door.
A sudden warmth cut through the morning chill, more comforting than any winter coat.
Those simple instructions touched me more deeply than any elaborate gesture could. These
weren’t merely driving — they felt like a quiet voice whispering, “Someone whether you arrive safely.”
I carefully peeled the note from the glass, preserving it like a letter. Through
those honest words, memories of a different era came flooding back — a time when community meant something deeper than casual greetings. I could almost neighborhoods where
families knew each other by name, where snow was swept from an elder’s walk before dawn, and where parents watched not only their own children, but everyone’s.
That kind of connection shouldn’t just live in memory. Now the sweet tradition continues in my own kitchen, where the feeling of fills the air. When I bake cookies, I make some
extra. When the scent of butter and sugar fills the house, I wrap the cookies in a clean cloth and

carry them next door. The smile that greets me — the one that reaches his eyes — feels like a silent conversation between old friends. And in that exchange, winter feels a little less cold, reminding me that even the smallest acts of can melt the frost around our hearts.

In my childhood, I envied my classmates very much as my absence from school was not

because he thought he could make six figures within one year. His friend agreed because as he put it, “I have no to work long hours and not make much money. Taking pictures is good because you can make big money and only work short hours.”
Many people these days don’t realize that when things seem to happen immediately, it is
only because a lot of , determination and time have gone into it. Someone once told me that you may know whether someone is an expert in his given field by how easy he makes it look. The easier it looks, the more hours go into it.

When I was cleaning the house, I noticed my little girl busy playing in her room. In one hand was a plastic phone; in a toy broom. I listened as she was speaking to her little friend. And I’ll never forget the words she said, even though it was pretend.
She said, “Suzie’ s in the corner she’ s not been very good. She didn’t listen to a
word I said or do the things she .” In the corner I saw her baby doll all dressed in lace and pink. It was obvious she’ d been put there and thinking.
My daughter continued her “ ”, as I sat down on the floor. She said, “I’m all fed up. I
just don’t know to do with her any more. She complains whenever I have to work and
wants to play games, too. She never lets me do the things that I just have to do. She tries to help me with the dishes, but her arms just cannot ... And she doesn’t know how to fold towels, I don’t have the time to . I have a lot of work to do and a big house to keep clean. I don’t have the time to sit and play— don’t you know what I mean ”
And that day I thought a lot about making some in my life; As I listened to her
words that cut me like a knife. I hadn’t been paying enough attention to what I hold most dear. I’d been caught up in responsibilities that increased throughout the year.
But now my has changed, because, in my heart, I realize... I’ve seen the world in a

Setting the baby down, I dialed the number. I hadjust realized of the

“Hi, Dad.” I said, holding back tears.
“Hey, Bud. How are you ” was in his voice.

“For getting up and going to work every morning of my life. Now that I have my own child and I see my husband doing the same, I just wanted to thank you for being faithful.”
There was silence for a moment as my dad himself, and with a small tremble in his voice he said, “You’re welcome, Bud.”
I don’t remember much of the rest ofthe call, but that moment of revelation about my

Anger Is a Gift
“Mom, where are you I’ve been waiting for 10 minutes.” I shouted into the phone.
试卷第 8 页,共 11 页
“Honey, sorry. I left the office a bit late and the caused really bad traffic, but I …”
I hung up. Conversations like this happen every week. Being a teen is enough, and my parents often make me feel less important than their work.
In second grade, I broke my arm on the slide. When the school nurse called my mom, she
was too to answer. When the phone call reached my father, he sighed (叹息) and said, “I’m in the middle of research.” I sat in the nurse’s office for hours, before my parents finally to take me to hospital.
I wished my parents could keep me company. To make my parents take me seriously, I screamed. I tried to establish my own authority by ignoring their schedule. My mom did
everything possible to solve the problem, but nothing until she met that adviser.
One day after I shut my door in her face, my mom didn’t complain or cry. Instead, she
knocked and said, “I have something to tell you.” I opened the door. “Today I met a really good adviser. He said that every time your daughter is angry, she is just saying: I you.”
It dawned on me that my anger was merely a mask for me to my loneliness and
disappointment. But facing one’s need is the first step towards being happier. This concept not only helped things between my parents and me but also enabled me to handle conflicts and
emotions. I started to pay attention to other people’s . When an angry customer approached me at my volunteering job, he was saying, “I need more service.” When a homeless person
shouted to me in a parking lot, he was simply saying, “I need food and help.”
I am now able to see through the fog of anger and see the real face and heart of other people.
Five minutes after I hung up on her, my mom’s car finally appeared through the fog. She rolled down her window and said, “Let’s go to a hotpot place, shall we ” I , “OK, but

As he had refused the money, I offered to drive him around the town. The boy became so that he got into the car at once, “Would you please drive me home It is only about 3

As soon as I stopped, he jumped out and ran into an old building, telling me to wait there for some time. Very soon he came out, saying to a little girl on his back, “Look at this beautiful car. I will buy you some day.”
I noticed his sister had a pale face. What’s worse, her legs were too thin, and she was unable to .
After that day I went to his home several times. And I got to know more about him and his family. Poor as they were, the boy once again refused my money, and said, “I can
