My Cross-Country Trip with My Grandfather
Last summer,I accompanied my 70-year-old grandfather on a self-driving trip across the northwest of China,a journey he had dreamed of for decades.We set off from Xi’an,with a detailed route plan and a heart full of expectation.
The first stop was Lanzhou,where we tasted the famous beef noodles and walked along the Yellow River.Grandfather told me stories about his youth,when he once worked in a remote town in Gansu and the journey there took more than a week by train.Now,the new highway made the trip much easier,which he said was a great miracle of the country’s development.

When we reached the Qinghai Lake,the largest inland lake in China,we found many volunteers cleaning the lake bank.We joined them for an hour,and grandfather said that protecting such a beautiful vast land is everyone’s responsibility.This experience made our trip more meaningful than just enjoying the scenery.

The Development of Cross-Country Eco-Tourism in China
In recent years,cross-country eco-tourism across China’s vast land has developed rapidly,becoming a new trend in the tourism industry,especially in the 2025-2026 travel season.This kind of tourism combines the fun of cross-country travel with the concept of ecological protection,which is loved by more and more travellers.
Cross-country eco-tourism mainly covers the remote areas in the west,north and northeast of China,where there are abundant natural scenery and unique local cultures.These areas have built special eco-tourism routes,with marked driving paths,eco-friendly rest stops and professional tour guides who are familiar with local ecology and culture.The government has also invested a lot in building infrastructure,such as new highways and clean energy charging stations for electric self-driving cars,making the journey more convenient and eco-friendly.
One of the key features of cross-country eco-tourism is the emphasis on ecological protection.All travel agencies and platforms have made clear rules for visitors:no destroying plants,no hunting wild animals,no littering,and all rubbish must be taken away.Many scenic areas also set up volunteer teams to guide visitors and protect the local environment.
Another advantage is that it promotes the economic development of remote areas.Local people open homestays,sell local specialty products and work as tour guides or herdsmen companions,which increases their income.At the same time,it also makes more people know about the remote areas and pay attention to their development and ecological protection.
However,cross-country eco-tourism still faces some challenges,such as the unbalanced development of infrastructure in some areas and the lack of professional eco-tour guides.The government and the tourism industry are taking measures to solve these problems,such as increasing investment and carrying out training for local guides.It is believed that cross-country eco-tourism will develop more healthily in the future,making people enjoy the beauty of the vast land while protecting it.

A.Covering all the areas in China
B.Combining travel fun with ecological protection

29.What has the government done to support cross-country eco-tourism
A.Banned self-driving travel in remote areas B.Built more eco-friendly infrastructure
C.Asked all visitors to join volunteer teams D.Stopped the development of traditional tourism
30.What can we infer from the passage about cross-country eco-tourism
A.It has no challenges at all
B.It only benefits travellers but not local people
C.It will develop more healthily with proper measures
D.It has replaced all other kinds of tourism in China
31.What is the main idea of the passage
A.The beautiful natural scenery of China’s vast land
B.The traditional culture of remote areas in China
C.The development and features of cross-country eco-tourism in China
D.The challenges of China’s tourism industry in 2026

文体为英语倡议书,采用书信体格式,是校园类倡议书的固定写法;
必备格式要素:称呼(顶格写Dear schoolmates,)→正文(首行缩进,分1-2段,简洁明了)→落款(右下角写Yours,)→署名(落款下一行写Li Hua);
1.开篇总起:1句话点明写作目的(呼吁参加活动)+活动时间+核心目的,直接点题,不啰嗦;
2.中间分述:1句话介绍活动具体内容,用并列结构整合,避免零散;
语气:正式但亲切,用祈使句(Call on sb.to do/Let’s...)、不定式表目的(aim to do/in order to do)体现倡议感;
I’m writing to call on all of you to take part in...(开篇万能)
The trip aims to let us...and raise our awareness of...(贴合活动目的)
During the trip,we will go hiking,clean up rubbish in the scenic spot and listen to...(并列结构整合3项内容)
Please pay attention to environmental protection and take away all your rubbish.(明确环保要求)
Let’s join hands to...Looking forward to your participation!(再次号召,收尾自然)
1.词数把控:每句话控制在10-15词,全文5-7句话即可,避免过长/过短;
要点:是否涵盖“时间+目的+内容+环保呼吁”4个核心要求;
语法:无时态、单复数、介词搭配错误(倡议书用一般现在时即可);
拼写:无单词拼写错误(如ecological/protection/scenic等核心词)。
避免重复:不用多次出现“the trip”,可适当用it指代;
衔接自然:用During the trip/Please等词衔接上下文,无断层;
高级词汇:用raise our awareness of(增强……意识)替代know more about,贴合书面表达。
We stood up quickly and waved our hands to the motorcyclist.
核心情节:摩托车手停下→询问情况→表明身份(贴合生态保护,设定为当地森林护林员/景区工作人员)→帮忙修车→拒绝报酬+强调“保护山林环境是每个人的责任”(紧扣生态保护);
After the car was fixed,we continued our trip to the top of the mountain.
核心情节:继续登山→看到绝美风景(呼应单元“旅行的美景体验”)→践行生态保护(捡拾其他游客的垃圾,不随手扔垃圾)→旅行感悟(欣赏自然的同时要保护自然,护林员的善意让旅行更难忘);
1.动作细节:加入简单的动作描写(如checked the car carefully/fixed it with his tools/picked up the litter),避免平铺直叙;
2.心理细节:从前文的“worried and anxious”过渡到“thankful”再到“moved”,体现情绪变化;
3.人物塑造:护林员设定为“热心、环保意识强”的形象,通过语言(saying it’s everyone’s duty to protect the mountain’s environment)体现,不刻意刻画。
1.词数把控:两段各70-80词,每段5-6句话,避免一段过长/过短;
2.句式选择:以简单句+并列句为主(and/but/so衔接),少量定语从句(如the litter left by other tourists),不写复杂长难句,避免语法错误;
1.生态保护融入:不生硬提及,通过**人物语言(护林员的话)+具体行动(捡拾垃圾)**体现,贴合“旅行与环保共生”的主题;
2.主旨升华:结尾用1句话点明旅行感悟(如This trip made us realize that while enjoying the beauty of nature,we must protect it.),呼应单元“旅行的意义不仅是欣赏风景,更是体验与珍惜”的核心。
情节:是否衔接前文,无逻辑断层;是否结合“旅行+生态保护”主题;
格式:是否分两段写,是否使用给定开头,未改动开头;
词数:合计140-160词(150词左右,上下浮动10词均可);
2.润色优化:用连接词(at once/soon/then/also)衔接动作,让情节更流畅;加入少量环境描写(如the view there was even more breathtaking),贴合旅行场景。
