Some deep-sea animals are blind, but they can “see” as well as others. Mount Qomolangma is one of the greatest wonders of the world, and it is still growing taller. The Yangtze River travels the farthest in China and is about 6,300 kilometres long.
形容词：用来描述名词的特征，在句中常作定语或表语。
副词：用来描述动词、形容词或其他副词，在句中常作状语。
比较等级：
原级：表示 “和…… 一样”，结构为 as + 原级 + as。
比较级：表示 “两者之间更……”，常与 than 连用。
最高级：表示 “三者及以上范围中最……”，常与 the 或 in/of... 连用。
形容词最高级前必须加 the（如 the biggest），副词最高级前的 the 可以省略（如 travels (the) farthest）。

thousand（千）：第 1 组（右数 1-3 位）

billion（十亿）：第 3 组（右数 7-9 位）
例：9,000,000 读作 nine million

每组三位数（000-999）的读法遵循以下规则：
百位 + and + 十位 / 个位（英式英语），美式英语中 and 常省略。

十位和个位之间用连字符 - 连接。

例：789 → seven hundred (and) eighty-nine
